The Abserny Story

We are a small group of passionate computer science students exploring the real-world impact of AI through hands-on development.

Team brainstorming Abserny

How We Started

Abserny began as a graduation project in late 2024. Like many student teams, we wanted to build something meaningful — not just another academic exercise, but a tool that could genuinely help people.

We chose accessibility because over 2.2 billion people worldwide live with visual impairment, and we believed AI could make a difference in their daily lives.

What started as a simple idea quickly grew into a full-featured application combining computer vision, speech recognition, and natural language processing — all running offline for privacy and reliability.

Our Vision

We believe technology should empower everyone, regardless of ability. Abserny is our first step toward creating AI tools that are truly inclusive, private, and practical for real-world use.

As students exploring the AI world through this college project, we're learning how powerful — and responsible — this technology can be when designed with users in mind.

Our Values

❤️

Empathy First

We design with real users in mind, prioritizing their needs and experiences above technical complexity.

🔒

Privacy by Design

All processing happens locally on device — no data collection, no cloud dependency, complete user control.

🎓

Learning Through Doing

As students, we're using this project to deeply understand AI systems while creating something meaningful.

🌱

Open & Accessible

We share our code and knowledge freely, believing in open-source principles and inclusive technology.
